Empties To Bones converts a hierarchy of empty objects into a Blender armature made of bones. In one click it turns an animated or static empties chain into bones ready for animation retargeting and export.

Skin Selection is a Blender addon that lets you select bone controllers by clicking the mesh surface. It works with any rig or armature and maps up to three controllers per area.
