Better Local View - Isolate Elements is a Blender add-on from Mondé that extends the default Local View so it can also isolate faces, verts, and edges in Edit Mode using the same button.

Bones As Points is a Blender add-on that displays armature bones as points instead of the default head-and-tail bone shape. It works non-destructively and can be toggled on or off at any time.
