Boris FX Sapphire is a filter set that spans transitions and effects across After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Premiere Pro. Its transition units, including WipeWedge, WipeWeave, WipeTiles, WipeStar, WipeStripes, WipeRings, WipeRectangle, WipePointalize, WipePlasma, WipePixelate, and WipeMoire, wipe between two input clips using distinct shapes and patterns. The Wipe Percent parameter is animated to control transition speed, and Border Width draws a border at the wipe edges.
On the effects side, Sapphire includes Advanced Defocus, which recreates the flaws and handcrafted character of a real lens blur, Texture Ridges for flowing ridges and organic fractal textures from procedural noise, and a reimagined Glare with light that blooms, streaks, and shines. Five new cinematic Pro Lens Flares ship alongside more than 100 new effect and transition presets for 2026.5, and the updated Effect and Transition Builder adds new tools and a faster workflow.
