Clothify earns its place in the Superhive library by packaging the full cinched-cloth workflow, from modifier setup to shape-key conversion, into a single guided addon.
Clothify is a Blender addon that automates and simplifies the process of building cinched cloth simulations. You assign a Bag Object as the cloth to be simulated and a Content Object that serves as the collision object inside it. Control groups sit at the center of the workflow: Pin Groups determine which parts of the cloth get hooked to Ring objects, while Stiff Areas define where the cloth should bend less. Both can be created from a vertex selection using the 'From Selection' mode in Edit Mode.
Pressing "Setup Simulation" adds and configures Hooks, Cloth, Collision, Solidify, and Subdivision modifiers in one click. You can then adjust Cloth parameters such as Quality, Mass, Stiffness, Damping, and Collisions, and save or load presets, with built-in options for Silk, Leather, Denim, Cotton, and Velvet.
The "Animate All Rings" button generates keyframes for all Ring objects, with control over duration, twist amount across X, Y, and Z axes, and which axes the rings scale down on. Bake and Delete Bake buttons cache the result, and Convert to Shape Key freezes the simulation into a lightweight mesh.
Clothify is best for blender artists making cinched cloth simulations like bags, candy wraps, gift bags, sacks, and pouches.
Clothify is completely free to download and use.
Clothify requires two assigned objects to run a simulation. The Bag Object is the cloth that will be simulated and must be a mesh. The Content Object is the object placed inside the cloth, and it serves as the collision object. These assignments form the foundation of every Clothify simulation. From there you define control groups, generate rings, and press Setup Simulation to add and configure the necessary modifiers automatically.
Clothify uses control groups instead of manual vertex selection during simulation. Pin Groups determine which parts of the cloth will be hooked to the Ring objects, while Stiff Areas define where the cloth should be stiffer and bend less. Both group types can be created from a vertex selection: in Edit Mode, select the vertices you want and click 'From Selection' to instantly create a group. Rings can then be generated automatically based on your Pin Groups, or added and assigned manually for full control.
Clothify ships with built-in presets for Silk, Leather, Denim, Cotton, and Velvet, so you can start immediately. Its preset management lets you save your own cloth physics settings under a custom name and load them later to switch between fabric types quickly. You have full control over Cloth parameters such as Quality, Mass, Stiffness including Tension, Compression, Shear, and Bending, Damping, and Collisions, and any combination you like can be stored as a reusable preset.
Clothify is listed as free in this catalog. For current licensing terms and any conditions of use, check the developer's page directly. The addon covers the full cinched-cloth workflow in Blender, from assigning the Bag and Content objects through one-click simulation setup, animation, baking, and converting the finished result into a lightweight Shape Key mesh. A demo video is also available if you want to see more before downloading.
