FxFactory Block Party is a transition that moves between clips through a 3D animation mixing particles and lighting. It builds and animates 3D geometry from the original clips, driven by a highly customizable particle system that uses lighting and camera effects. Fifty built-in presets offer an immediate look at its features and a starting point for customization.
The plugin needs no keyframes. You adjust the transition through its parameters and let Block Party work out how each change affects the animation. Advanced camera settings add further control: motion blur for smoother results, depth of field blurring as blocks fly toward or away from the viewer, and an adjustable field of view for the virtual camera.

FxFactory Block Party works in Final Cut Pro X, Motion, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, running on both Apple Silicon and Intel processors. In After Effects, you select a layer as the outgoing clip, choose a Block Party transition from the Effects menu, then pick the incoming clip through the Transition Layer popup in the parameters inspector. In Premiere Pro, you switch to the Effects tab, drag the transition from the Block Party sub-category between two clips on your timeline, and adjust its parameters in the inspector.
