mCloner Pro is an After Effects tool for generating, distributing, and animating multiple copies of layers, called clones. It's built around a Live Update architecture and includes workflow tools for handling effects and pre-comps.
Clones can be distributed in radial, linear, and grid modes, and you can draw from multiple source layers with a shuffle feature. Animation covers delay and sine waves, while dynamic sliders produce spiral and arc effects. A Mask Finder supports path animation, effectors drive proximity animation, and there's integration for OBJ and GLB 3D models. Cylinder mode, kinetic text, and color and gradient controls round out the set.
Version 2.3 runs on After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, and 2022. The July 2026 update fixed cross-platform clone positioning on Windows and macOS, added two Random Color controls and gradient start/end position pointers, and addressed layer staggering after the Update button. A demo video is available.
