NatuRamp is an After Effects plugin for generating procedural, natural gradients. Where standard After Effects gradients spread color evenly, NatuRamp produces non-linear, uneven transitions, giving results the developer describes as beautiful and non-digital.
The plugin works through three distinct modes. Atmosphere creates layered, light-scattering color transitions inspired by the sky and air. Organic drives a growth-based color flow that spreads like petals, leaves, or living tissue. Mineral produces weathered, uneven transitions shaped by erosion, oxidation, and material change. Each mode approaches color spread from a different natural reference.
Alongside the modes, NatuRamp includes adjustable color infiltration for dynamic transitions and a Scatter control for controlled, spatial noise, all handled through a set of simple, intuitive controls. This is version 1.0, the initial release, and it runs in After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, and 2023. A demo video is available for a closer look at the modes and controls.
