Path Deform Pro earns its place in the ScriptSpot library for addressing a specific weakness of the standard Path Deform modifier: the self-intersections and the pinching and stretching that appear where a path bends.
Path Deform Pro is a modifier for 3ds Max that deforms models along a path. Where the standard Path Deform modifier tends to produce a lot of self-intersections, Path Deform Pro is built to avoid them, and it also produces less pinching and stretching where the path bends.
The modifier adds options for volume preservation, a slink effect, rolling and rigid deformation. You can drive rotation and scaling with a curve, and take full control of the up vector by using another spline to look at, among other controls for shaping how geometry follows the path.
Global intersections may still occur when the mesh is very thick and the path runs close to intersecting itself. Path Deform Pro is listed as compatible with 3ds Max 2013 through 2024, with its requirements noting 64-bit support up to 2027. A demo video is available, and the modifier comes from Marius Silaghi, whose other 3ds Max tools include TurboSmooth Pro, Clothify Pro and Unwrap Pro.
Path Deform Pro is best for 3ds Max artists deforming models along paths who want to avoid the self-intersections and pinching of the standard Path Deform modifier.
Path Deform Pro is completely free to download and use.
Path Deform Pro is listed as compatible with 3ds Max 2013 through 2024, and its requirements note support for the 64-bit releases from 2013 up to 2027. That range spans many years of 3ds Max, so artists on both older and recent installations should find a matching build. For the current version list and any updates, check the developer's page at mariussilaghi.com before you install.
Path Deform Pro is designed to deform models along a path without the self-intersections that the standard Path Deform modifier tends to produce, and it also reduces pinching and stretching where the path bends. That said, global intersections can still occur when the mesh is very thick and the path runs close to intersecting itself. In those cases you may need to adjust the mesh thickness or the path shape to keep the result clean.
Path Deform Pro gives full control of the up vector by using another spline to look at, which lets you steer how the deformed geometry orients along the path. It also offers rotation and scaling driven by a curve, plus options for rolling and rigid deformation. These controls shape how the model behaves as it follows the path. A demo video is available on the developer's page if you want a closer look before installing.
Path Deform Pro is listed as free in this catalog, though licensing terms can change over time. For the current licence type and any purchase details, visit the developer's page at mariussilaghi.com/products/path-deform-pro. The modifier comes from Marius Silaghi, whose other 3ds Max tools include TurboSmooth Pro, Clothify Pro and Unwrap Pro. Checking the official page is the best way to confirm the latest terms before you download and install it.

by KSTUDIO
Sweep Profile is a 3ds Max tool from KSTUDIO for building architectural profiles with the Sweep modifier. It ships with pre-made profiles and lets you add your own from the scene or a folder.

by ITOOSOFT
SplineOffset is a modifier for Autodesk 3ds Max that clones and offsets splines, creating multiple clones with incremental offset, translation, and rotation. It works fully non-destructively and can heal overlapping splines.

FAST ARCHITECTURE Trial is a procedural mesh object for 3ds Max that generates architectural structures with parameters you can adjust in real time. It creates an FA_Building object usable like any standard 3ds Max object.

by SiNi Software
Scatter by SiNi Software is a free 3ds Max tool for distributing 3D geometry across large surfaces. Add objects, proxies and cache files, then use a distribution map that can place up to one million points.

by Autodesk, Inc.
Explode Geometry is a 3ds Max plug-in that breaks one or more selected scene nodes into individual three- or four-sided faces, with options to add modifiers and refine the resulting geometry.
