Shardflow earns its place in the Superhive library by putting fracture setup, multiple shatter modes and Voronoi control into one Sidebar panel.
Shardflow is a Blender addon focused on fracture effects, letting artists break objects apart for simulations and cinematic scenes. It automates the fracturing process so complex destruction can be produced with a single click, while still giving control over how pieces shatter.
The addon supports multiple fracturing modes, including vertex-based, particle-based and Grease Pencil strokes, so you can decide how objects come apart. Fragmentation is customizable, with fragment counts ranging from 2 up to 10,000 depending on the detail needed, and Voronoi cells can be scaled in 3D space to define the shape and distribution of shards. Fragmented objects are automatically placed into a new collection with a name you can customize.
Shardflow sits directly in the 3D View Sidebar with a simple, clean interface, so it fits into an existing Blender workflow. Real-time fracturing lets you break objects in the 3D view within a few clicks. It is compatible with Blender 3.0 through 4.1, and a demo video is available.
Shardflow is best for blender artists building fracture and destruction effects for simulations and cinematic scenes.
Shardflow is completely free to download and use.
Shardflow is compatible with Blender versions 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 4.0 and 4.1. That range covers a wide span of recent Blender releases, so most artists on a current or slightly older install should be able to run it. If you use a version outside this list, check the developer's page to confirm compatibility before installing, since only the listed versions are stated as supported.
Shardflow lets you adjust the number of fragments generated for each object, ranging from 2 up to 10,000 fragments depending on the level of detail required. The Voronoi cells that define how pieces break apart can be scaled in 3D space, giving control over the shape and distribution of the shards. Fragment counts can be tuned per object, so you can keep coarse breakage light or push toward highly detailed destruction where the scene calls for it.
Shardflow is located directly in the 3D View Sidebar and presents a simple, clean interface, so it blends into an existing Blender workflow. From there you can fracture objects in the 3D view with just a few clicks in real time. Fragmented objects are automatically placed into a new collection to help organize the scene, and you can customize the collection names for easier project management.
Shardflow is listed as free in this catalog and is released under the GPL license. Licensing and any tier details can change over time, so check the developer's page for the current terms before you download. There is also a demo video available if you want to see the addon before committing to installing it in your own Blender setup.
