STACK3D handles the 3D artwork pipeline in After Effects from a single dockable panel. It converts vectors and raster images, extrudes them with custom geometry and bevel, applies independent face colors, cleans problem paths, and rigs everything to a null controller. The tool is built for motion graphics artists who work in three dimensions.
It runs on After Effects 2025 (v25.0) or later and is compatible with the 2025 and 2026 releases, on both Mac and Windows. It uses the Advanced 3D renderer, Calder, which you set under Composition > Settings > Advanced, and it requires "Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network" enabled in Preferences under Scripting & Expressions.
After installing, restart After Effects and open the panel via Window > Stack3D.jsx, then dock it anywhere in your workspace. This is the initial 1.0 release, and a demo video is available.
