Super Liquids earns its place in the toolfarm library for a focused approach: draw your elements, apply them, and get frame-by-frame liquid trails built entirely from shape layers.
Super Liquids creates frame-by-frame style liquid trail animations inside After Effects. The workflow is direct: draw the elements, then apply them to the object you want to animate. From there, you can build custom liquid animations quickly.
The script applies to both static and moving objects and handles horizontal and vertical setups. You can add your own custom liquids, and everything it produces is created with shape layers. Shape modifiers are supported as well.
Super Liquids runs across a wide span of After Effects versions, from CS6 up through the 2025 release, so older and current installs are covered. It's listed here as free, and a demo video is available. The current release is version 4.4.21, last updated in early January 2026.

Super Liquids creates everything with shape layers and supports shape modifiers. The approach is to draw the elements you want, then apply them to the object you're animating, and the frame-by-frame liquid trail is generated from those shape layers. It applies to both static and moving objects and handles horizontal and vertical directions. Because the animation is built entirely from shape layers, it stays inside After Effects' shape layer system, and shape modifiers are supported too.
Super Liquids' recent changelog centers on maintenance. The December 2025 entry updated the license framework to version 4.4.2, and an earlier April 2025 update fixed an empty error on startup along with another license framework update. A December 2022 fix addressed an issue where the script could error if the dimensions on a morphing layer's position were separated.
