Taption connects Adobe Premiere Pro to Taption's web-based editing platform, letting video editors transcribe, translate, and create captions or subtitles without leaving their editing workflow. After signing in to a Taption account, editors send media for transcription and translation, generate subtitles or captions, and import the results back into their Premiere Pro project.
On the Taption platform, users review, edit, translate, and refine subtitles with AI tools that include customized dictionaries, speaker handling, subtitle formatting, and professional localization workflow features. Editing happens in an external browser, so subtitles can be updated in Taption without manually saving, adjusting timestamps, or re-importing from scratch.
This release marks the initial UXP plugin for Premiere Pro, covering account sign-in, transcription and subtitle generation, a translation workflow for multilingual subtitles, external browser editing, and an import/sync step for bringing edited subtitles back. It is compatible with Adobe Premiere Pro 25.6 and later, and was tested with Premiere Pro 25.6.
