TextDelay earns its place in the aescripts library for inheriting your animation's easing rather than replacing it, letting delays follow the curves and easing expressions you already set.
TextDelay is a native After Effects plugin that delays text animation by character, word or line. Unlike the default text animator, it inherits your animation's easing, so you can work with custom curves or easing expressions.
The plugin includes five order modifiers and can delay position, anchor, scale, opacity, hue and blur. A range selector controls which characters, words or lines receive the delay and which don't. Its transformations cover X and Y position, anchor, scale, Z position and rotation, and TextDelay stays compatible with motion blur. It also works with parented transforms on CC2018 and newer, and with paragraph text.
