Time Bend from Satori is a plugin for After Effects and Premiere Pro that aims to be a replacement for the Time Displacement effect. Its main difference is more versatile control over the frame sequence, blending with an editable transition, loops support, and animating time mapping via curve phase.
Channel handling covers several modes: Luma applies the effect to all channels equally using a pixel's overall luminance, RGB applies it to each component separately, and Red, Green, Blue, or Alpha target a single selected component. Five blending modes — Addition, Subtract, Multiply, Divide, and Clamp — combine source and destination pixel values, while curve shapes such as Linear Ramp, Triangle, Sine ½ Phase, Sine ¼ Phase, and Sine Full Phase set how the mapping curve behaves.
Curve Phase, Curve Floor, and a Curve Graph give control and visual reference over the mapping, while Destination Blend Size and Destination Blend Offset adjust how the transition distance drives curve progress. The current version adds a Sample Projects Pack, and because of the plugin's complexity, the developer advises testing the free trial version first.
