Why we like it

AEC4D PRO stands out in the toolfarm library for its broad version coverage, spanning After Effects back to CS6 and Cinema 4D back to R17.

What is AEC4D PRO?

AEC4D PRO is a plugin from Lasse Lauch that works across Cinema 4D and After Effects. It handles the transfer of cameras, text layers, markers and stage-objects, and can import textures, stills and renderings. Exports can be written into the active composition, with the option to overwrite existing layers or export only the current frame.

The tool supports film-offset on cameras and comp-markers. A past complete rewrite brought a redesigned interface and much quicker exports, alongside text layer support and handling of stage-objects.

AEC4D PRO covers a wide span of host versions: After Effects from CS6 through 2026, and Cinema 4D from R17 through 2026, including R25 and the S-series releases. Recent updates have focused on fixes, including support for newer Redshift cameras, Unicode handling in names, and compatibility fixes for macOS users on newer After Effects releases. A demo video is available, and the developer's page carries current licensing details.
