Atomic earns its place in the superhive library for bringing a Plexus-style points-and-lines workflow into Blender, with support for both Eevee and Cycles.
Atomic is a Blender add-on for building visual effects from points, lines, and animated deformations. It generates points on the surface or vertices of objects or collections, connects them with dynamic lines to form networks, and distorts the result with deformations. Its approach is inspired by Plexus.
Point generation includes density control and a choice of uniform or normal-based distribution. Line connections offer a max distance, a connections-per-point limit, and randomization for variation. Deformations run on amplitude and frequency and can be animated over time. Advanced settings add distance-based gradient coloring and emissive glow for lines and particle dots.
You select an object or collection, open the Atomic tab in the N panel of the 3D Viewport, adjust the settings, then click Apply Atomic to generate the effect. Collection support applies effects across multiple objects for layered scenes, and the add-on works in both Eevee and Cycles with every parameter keyframable.
Atomic is best for abstract visuals, technical visualizations like sci-fi networks and data effects, animated wireframes, and motion design such as dynamic intros and title sequences.
Atomic is completely free to download and use.
Atomic is fully supported in both Eevee and Cycles. You can generate its points, lines, and animated deformations on objects or collections and render in either engine. The add-on also includes advanced settings such as distance-based gradient coloring and emissive glow for lines and particle dots, and every parameter can be keyframed. For details tied to a specific Blender version, check the developer's page, which lists the supported version alongside the full documentation.
Atomic lets you keyframe all of its parameters directly in Blender, so point density, line connections, and deformation amplitude and frequency can change over time. The deformation options are built to animate points and lines over time for abstract, moving results, which is why the add-on fits motion design work such as dynamic intros and title sequences. You set values in the Atomic panel and key them like any other Blender property. See the developer's page for the full parameter list.
Atomic installs like a standard Blender add-on. Download the Atomic .zip file, then in Blender open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, click Install, select the .zip file, and enable the plugin. Once enabled, you reach it from the N panel under the Atomic tab in the 3D Viewport. From there you select an object or collection, adjust the point, line, and deformation settings, then click Apply Atomic to generate the effect. The developer's page has the full documentation if you need it.
Atomic supports collections, letting you apply its point and line effects across multiple objects at once rather than a single mesh. This is aimed at complex or layered scenes where several objects need the same treatment. You choose the object or collection in the scene or Outliner, open the Atomic tab in the N panel, and apply your settings to the whole selection. Points can be generated on the surface or vertices of those objects, and lines connect them into networks.
