BeatEdit 2 earns its place in the aescripts library for turning music into usable beat markers directly inside Premiere Pro, with support reaching back to CC 2019 and forward to Premiere Pro 2026.
BeatEdit 2 analyzes your music and creates beat markers automatically inside Premiere Pro. You can use those markers to assist manual editing, or generate automatic edits in sync with the music. Its beat detection includes a quantization feature for improved results, and you can detect only beats or also other rhythmically relevant peaks for more variation.
The plugin works with both sequence markers and clip markers, and is compatible with Premiere Pro's Automate to Sequence function. You can load music directly from the sequence, batch create, move or delete markers, and limit those operations to the work area. A beat info panel reports the bpm, the number of selected beats and more, alongside a move markers tool and an interface with resizable sections.
