Built by Adobe and currently bundled with Premiere Pro (beta), this panel keeps Frame.io review inside the editing timeline. It ranks 14 on Adobe Exchange.
Frame.io V4 Comments is an Adobe panel for Premiere Pro that brings Frame.io review directly into the editing environment. Editors can export and upload a sequence from Premiere Pro to Frame.io, send review links to stakeholders and clients, then receive and respond to that feedback without leaving Premiere Pro.
Comments are tied to the edit itself. Clicking a comment jumps to its associated timestamp, and you can toggle on comment markers to view comments directly in the timeline. When the edit changes, a new version of the sequence can be uploaded to Frame.io in one click.
Using the extension requires a Frame.io V4 account, which is created on the Frame.io website. It is available for Premiere Pro 20.0 and later, and is currently bundled with Premiere Pro (beta). Recent updates add the ability to queue multiple sequences for upload when using Send to Media Encoder, right-click copying of comment text, and Create New Version, Create New File, and Link Manually options from the three-dot menu, along with project and file search when linking a sequence to a Frame.io asset manually.
Frame.io V4 Comments is best for post-production teams sharing edits and exchanging feedback with clients from inside Premiere Pro.
Frame.io V4 Comments is completely free to download and use.
Frame.io V4 Comments requires a Frame.io V4 account to work. You can create one on the Frame.io website at frame.io/v4. Once the account is set up, the panel connects Premiere Pro to Frame.io so you can upload sequences, send review links to stakeholders and clients, and receive and respond to feedback from inside your editing session. Check the developer's page for current details on setting up an account.
Frame.io V4 Comments is available for Premiere Pro 20.0 and later, and it is also listed as compatible with Premiere Pro 25.0 and earlier. It is currently bundled with Premiere Pro (beta). If you are unsure whether your installation includes the panel or meets the version range, the developer's page is the place to confirm compatibility for your specific setup.
Frame.io V4 Comments is listed as free here. The extension itself connects Premiere Pro to Frame.io and requires a Frame.io V4 account, which is created separately on the Frame.io website. Because the panel is currently bundled with Premiere Pro (beta), you may already have access through your Premiere Pro installation. For current licensing terms and any details tied to the Frame.io account itself, refer to the developer's page rather than relying on a fixed figure.
Frame.io V4 Comments supports queuing multiple sequences to upload when using Send to Media Encoder, which was added in a recent update. The same update introduced right-click copying of comment text and Create New Version, Create New File, and Link Manually options from the three-dot menu, plus project and file search when linking a sequence to a Frame.io asset manually.
