BOOM Library Cyber Weapons is a sound effects library built for futuristic, modern and Sci-Fi weaponry, ranging from small sidearm-grade lasers to planet-melting beams of destruction. It comes in three editions: a Construction Kit of source recordings, a Designed collection of finished sounds, and a Bundle that packages both at a discounted price.
The Construction Kit holds over 4,000 source sounds — real-world object recordings alongside synthesized effects — covering Foley, mechanics, synthesized beams, impacts, servos, shots, whooshes, tails and transients. The Designed collection offers futuristic weapons in small, medium and large variants with a range of timings, attacks and tails. Samples are tight and punchy, and the library steers clear of the harmless pew-pew cliché.
Everything is delivered as WAV files at 24-bit / 96 kHz for Windows and Mac, with content info supplied as PDF and XLS documents. Sounds are designed to be layered, merged and faded together, or shortened and combined with split-second crossfades to build new variants. The Designed package suits games, film, TV, advertising and other media.
