BOOM Library Electric Vehicles is an SFX compilation recorded to capture the sounds of electric cars and electric motors, built for work on TV, movies, games and immersive experiences. The set covers a range of electric cars including the Volkswagen ID3, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Skoda Enyaq, Mercedes EQE 300, Renault Zoe and an original Tesla Roadster, alongside a Talaria Sting R motorbike, a scooter and a monowheel.
Onboard recordings use up to 12-channel microphones, including electromagnetic mics, capturing the cabin, the electric motors in the engine bay, the trunk and the bumpers. Exterior perspectives cover approach, away, cornering, and start & stops. Maneuvers include steady driving, acceleration, deceleration and reverse driving, recorded at various speeds including low speed. The library also includes recordings of doors, trunks and frunks opening and closing, windscreen wipers and charging procedures.
Files ship as WAV at 24-bit / 96kHz for Windows and Mac, so they import into any software that handles WAV, including After Effects and Premiere Pro. The collection totals 1,396 sounds with PDF and XLS content info.
