CineSpline earns its place in the Superhive library for turning manual camera placement into an auto-generated cinematic path, with a Smart Target System added in v1.4 for one-click focus control.
CineSpline is a Blender add-on for creating smooth, cinematic camera animations. You place shot cameras manually, then let the add-on auto-generate a smooth camera path connecting them. Timing is driven by an Offset value, and you can focus the camera on any object with a single click. The spline can be edited or rebuilt at any time.
The add-on is aimed at films, motion design, archviz, and animation work. Version 1.4 adds a Smart Target System: select an object before pressing Build Path and it becomes the camera's "Look At" target. If no object is selected, a default target empty is created at the origin and you're notified. Adding, cycling, and deleting shots works the same as before, with smarter focus control layered on top.
CineSpline supports Blender 3.0 through 4.4 and works with both the Cycles and Eevee render engines. It's released under the GPL license, and updating is a matter of reinstalling the new ZIP version from Preferences.
Cinespline is best for filmmakers, motion designers, archviz artists, and animators building cinematic camera moves in Blender.
Cinespline is completely free to download and use.
CineSpline supports Blender versions 3.0 through 4.4, so it runs across a wide span of recent releases including 4.4. It works with both the Cycles and Eevee render engines, giving you a choice between them for your camera-driven shots. The add-on lets you place shot cameras manually and auto-generate a smooth camera path between them, with Offset controlling the animation timing. If you're on a Blender version inside that 3.0 to 4.4 range, CineSpline should install and operate as described on the developer's page.
CineSpline works with both Cycles and Eevee, the two render engines listed for the add-on. Whichever of the two you render with, the add-on's camera tools are available: placing shot cameras manually, auto-generating a smooth path between them, and controlling timing through the Offset value. It supports Blender 3.0 through 4.4 alongside those engines. If you need to confirm behaviour with a specific engine or Blender build, the developer's page is the best place to check before you commit to a setup.
CineSpline is updated by reinstalling the new ZIP version from Blender's Preferences, according to the notes for version 1.4. Existing projects continue to work after updating. Version 1.4 introduces the Smart Target System while keeping the workflow unchanged, so you still add, cycle, and delete shots the same way, now with smarter focus control. Moving from an earlier version to 1.4 doesn't require relearning the tool; you reinstall the ZIP and the new focus features become available. Check the developer's page if you need the exact download.
CineSpline is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing and pricing can change over time, so the developer's page is the place to confirm the current terms before you download. The add-on is released under the GPL license and covers cinematic camera animation in Blender, including placing shots, building a smooth path, and focusing on objects with a single click. For the most up-to-date availability and any conditions attached, check directly with the creator's listing rather than relying on a cached figure.
CineSpline is released under the GPL license, as noted for the add-on. It supports Blender 3.0 through 4.4 and works with the Cycles and Eevee render engines. Functionally it handles cinematic camera animation: you place shot cameras, auto-generate a smooth path, control timing with Offset, and focus on any object with a single click, with the option to edit or rebuild the spline later. For the full license text and any usage conditions, the developer's page is the best reference.
