Clothfx - Dynamic Cloth Tearing is an add-on for Blender that focuses on cloth tearing. It provides a set of tools for real-time tearing simulations, where a collider object triggers the edge splitting of a pre-teared mesh. Tearing can happen on contact or through proximity mode, which tears by distance rather than mesh collision.
The add-on does not require pre-baking. Tearing runs in real time and is baked afterward, a workflow the developer describes as fast. Trigger options include Mesh Volume, Proximity, a combined Mesh+Proximity Volume, and Particles that use a trigger object's particles to define tears. Collision settings cover outer and inner values, and a Stress Parameter enables dynamics.
Custom Tear Maps give control over the simulations, alongside generated and custom tearing, irregular and jagged cuts, subdivision, viewport preview, a Pinning Editor, and a Make Collider tool. An Effects tab adds particle triggering, dynamic inflate, and baking. Published for Blender under the GPL license, it works across versions 4.5 to 5.0. A demo video is available.
