Pulse earns its place in the toolfarm library by packing 30 audio-reactive presets into a single template, split evenly between frequency-driven waveforms and volume-driven motion, with five presets that react footage to the beat.
Pulse is an Adobe After Effects template built to visualize music, turning audio into animations that react to volume and frequencies. It includes 30 visualizer presets across a range of styles, from a flamethrower, inkblot, kaleidoscope, and pinwheel to swarming shapes, dot-and-line networks, and multiple 3D particle animations.
Fifteen presets use the Audio Spectrum effect to visualize frequency changes, while the other fifteen are driven by loudness, animating motion, scale, color, speed, and other properties. Five presets alter footage to the rhythm of the music: 3D Push displaces pixels in three dimensions, Crystal Dream intensifies as audio gets louder, Glitch mixes time, texture, and distortion glitches, and Time Stutter speeds up or reverses footage in sync with the music.
Every preset includes intuitive controls for customizing how the animation responds to your audio, plus a copy-and-paste expression that can drive any property or effect with audio. Pre-selected optional effects can be unhidden for alternate looks, and both HD and UHD compositions are included. The template works in After Effects 2020 and later on Windows and macOS, with no plugins required.

Pulse is compatible with Adobe After Effects 2020 (version 17) and all later versions, running on both Windows and macOS. No additional plugins are required to use the template. One thing to note: the Displace control for CC Ball Action is disabled in After Effects 2023 and earlier, so that particular feature is only available in newer versions. Every visualizer ships in both HD and UHD compositions, so you can work in whichever resolution suits your project regardless of the After Effects version you run.
Pulse requires no additional plugins to run in After Effects.
