Creation Effects: Space Effects is a template for building custom 3D space animations in After Effects. It covers a wide range of celestial bodies — the earth and moon, the sun, a black hole, a spiral galaxy, nebulae, a comet with shooting stars, star fields, and a complete solar system with all eight planets.
The package bundles the Black Hole, Solaris, and Terra templates alongside additional celestial bodies. The earth comes from Terra as a 128MP model with separate control over land in daylight and at night, water, clouds, lighting, and atmosphere. The sun from Solaris uses real NASA footage to form a 3D sun with solar flares, prominences, and mass coronal ejections. The black hole is modeled after NASA simulations, with a spinning accretion disc, orbiting cloud matter, and warping of the background stars.
Every celestial body has a control layer with intuitive sliders, so scenes can be adjusted without advanced After Effects skills. It also includes 15 custom lens flares, a 360° star background, 28 pre-animated comps, and a comprehensive video tutorial. All effects are made entirely in After Effects with no plugins required, and the template is universalized to run in any language.

Space Effects is compatible with Adobe After Effects version 17.0 (2020) and all later releases, on both PCs and Macs. All effects are made entirely in After Effects and are completely customizable, with no additional plugins required. One thing to note: a few minor features of the included particle effects only work in After Effects 2024 or later, because of a 2024 update to the CC Ball Action effect. Everything else functions across the supported versions from 2020 onward.
Space Effects requires no additional plugins. All effects are 100% made in After Effects and are fully customizable through control layers with intuitive sliders. It works on both PCs and Macs. The project's comps are 4K (3840×2160) and can be changed to HD. Because the package includes NASA images, texture maps, and sun footage, the total file size is about 1.5GB, so allow plenty of time when downloading.
Space Effects runs from After Effects 17.0 (2020) onward, but a few minor features of the included particle effects will only work in After Effects 2024 or later. This is due to a 2024 update to the CC Ball Action effect. On an earlier supported version, the rest of the template still functions, including the 360° star background that lets you view the celestial bodies from any angle.
