Doppler, developed by Plugnition, links a music streaming service to the After Effects timeline. When you hit play on the timeline, your music pauses, and when you pause the timeline, your music plays again. The described behaviour is simple, yet the developer notes it as remarkably powerful.
Doppler is macOS only. It runs as a panel with media control buttons, and version 1.1.0 reduced the minimum width of those buttons so the panel can be sized down. That release also added a button to hide or show the controls, along with general stability and responsiveness improvements.
