What is Dot Pixels?

Dot Pixels is a native plugin from Rowbyte for After Effects and Premiere Pro that pixelates your image into circles and rings. Instead of the usual square blocks, each pixel block becomes a circle or ring, and an optional shading mode can simulate spherical and torus objects.

Control comes from a handful of parameters. Outer Roundness sets the outer roundness of each pixel block, and increasing it decreases the size of each circle. Inner Radius controls the radius of the inner circle in a ring, so raising it makes the ring thinner. Shading Type switches between spherical shading, generally applied to circles, and ring shading for shaded rings, while the Shading amount sets how much is applied, with none by default. A Fill Background checkbox lets you fill the background with a chosen BG Color, since the background is transparent by default.
