Oscilloscope is a plugin for After Effects that renders a glowing analog oscilloscope trace from images, audio, or paths. Its signal response setting shapes the result toward authentic CRT-style motion, built around an analog aesthetic.
You can fine-tune beam width, phosphor fade, flicker, and curvature to shape the trace, alongside signal response. These controls cover characteristic traits of an analog oscilloscope display, from the width of the line to the way it fades and flickers.
This is version 1.0, the initial release dated May 13, 2026. It runs across a wide span of After Effects versions, from CC 2014 through 2026, covering more than a decade of the application, and is listed here as free. For current licensing and more detail on the controls, check the developer's page.
