Drag Zoom Pro earns its place in the aescripts library for turning zoom moves into a draw-a-box action, with rotation and automatic keyframing included.
Drag Zoom Pro, built by Kamil Pekala, handles zooming inside After Effects and Premiere Pro. Instead of setting scale values by hand, you draw a box around the part of the frame you want to fill, and the plugin zooms to match. Automatic keyframing is supported, so the zoom can be animated.
Beyond straight zooms, the plugin can manipulate rotation and supports bezier easing of keyframes. On the Premiere Pro side it covers versions from CC 2019 through 2025, including 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Current release is version 1.2.1, updated in April 2025. The plugin is listed in the aescripts library and appears here as free. A demo video is available, and the developer's page carries the latest details on licensing and setup.
