Dynamic Grass is a Blender addon from Blender Procedural for building interactive, dynamic grass fields. With one click you can apply a grass field to any selected object, and a separate control turns a chosen object into a collision object so the grass reacts to it. When dynamics are enabled, the blades interact with objects and characters in the scene.
The addon exposes a range of parameters. You can set Hair Length and Grass Count to control size and density, and pick a type such as Wave, Curl, Braid, Radial, or Spiral to vary the look. Dynamics settings include Mass and a Brownian Factor for random motion, while child particle options add Simple or Interpolated children with adjustable percent, randomness, and stiffness. Blades can render as individual Strands or flat Strips.
Rendering controls cover Render Subdiv and B-Spline interpolation with adjustable steps for smoother curves, and reducing particle count or subdivision helps in complex scenes. Dynamic Grass is aimed at animations, games, and visualizations, and a demo video is available.
