Free Walk For Rigify generates walking animations for Rigify rigs inside Blender. To get started, you place your character in the reference pose to calibrate the addon, then see it in motion with a single click. From there you adjust the movement through the controls, and once the result matches what you want, you convert the preview into an action.
The addon produces animations in two formats, cycle or free, and both can be previewed in real time. It ships with four walking types: drunk, normal, rotated, and zombie. Characters can walk forward, sideways, and backward, switched from the panel. In free movement mode you can change direction at a specific step, alternating directions within the same preview.
Free sequence mode moves the body freely without the root, letting you direct each step and freeze the animation to edit the character's pose. This makes it easier to build a walk on uneven ground, avoid obstacles, go up a slope, or step down a curb. Free Walk For Rigify works with Human (Meta-Rig) and Rigify 0.6.6 or later.
