Furikake is a lightweight particle generation plugin for After Effects, built around a high-speed rendering engine that leverages modern CPUs. The multi-core optimized engine handles a massive number of particles smoothly and stably, and it supports Multi-Frame Rendering.
Particles emit from a range of shapes — points, boxes, spheres, grids and more — with control over emission direction and speed. Beyond basic spheres, Furikake supports 2D textures, both static and animated sequences, along with 3D textures, and lets you control size, opacity and color across each particle's lifetime. Physical behaviors such as gravity, wind, bounce and turbulence add motion, while a Child Particle System generates secondary particles.
Rendering draws on After Effects' native lights for lighting and shadows, with support for double-sided textures and normal maps, natural depth of field, and 32-bit color. A graphical UI and 3D camera support round out the toolset.
