Hue Finesse earns its place by drawing on Hawaiki's background in color grading, color science and keying, packaging per-band correction alongside detailed mask refinement and a choice of color models. The independent color model and tone curve settings for image and mask, plus savable presets, give it room for different workflows.
Hawaiki Hue Finesse offers precise, targeted color enhancement across After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro, along with Final Cut Pro and Motion. It combines Hawaiki's work in color grading, color science and keying, and corrects eight distinct hue bands while going beyond standard selection tools with control over the mask that defines each band.
The eight customizable bands cover Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Magenta, Skin and Grey. For each band you can adjust density, saturation, hue, gamma, gain and RGB balance, and set saturation to subtractive or standard. Mask refinement lets you set the hue, saturation and value range or pick directly from the image, then adjust the mask with gain, clip black and white, invert and blur.
A shape mask can be enabled and inverted independently for each band, and primary correction and white balance apply to the whole image. You can choose between HSV, Spherical or OkLCH color models, color space and tone curve, set independently for the image and the mask, and save a configuration as a preset. Running it requires Noise Industries FxFactory.
Hawaiki Hue Finesse is best for targeted color and exposure correction of specific hue ranges within an image, across After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro.
