This extension earns its spot in the toolfarm library by keeping storyboarding, drawing and photo editing inside Premiere Pro, then applying scenes back into the app through a single apply step.
Letsmotion Storyboard Maker is a Premiere Pro extension for creating storyboards directly in the app. It's aimed at independent storytellers, studios, agencies, schools and students, videographers and video production teams. The extension also lets you draw inside Premiere Pro, choosing a brush color, adding different shapes and applying photo filters.
You can add shots and cameras, setting options for each scene or camera including the image, description, shot type, shot size, subject, frame rate, lens, duration, camera movements and sounds. Photos can be imported and edited with the built-in image editor: apply filters, draw on them, mask them, and crop and scale.
Storyboards export into different formats that can be shared and re-imported later. When you're ready, hit the apply button and everything is imported into Premiere Pro with all scenes synced. Each scene retains the details you specified, and you can place your final footage there.
Letsmotion Storyboard Maker Premiere is best for independent storytellers, studios, agencies, schools and students, videographers and video production teams working inside Premiere Pro.
Letsmotion Storyboard Maker Premiere is completely free to download and use.
Letsmotion Storyboard Maker is compatible with Premiere Pro 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022 and 2021, and those same versions are listed as its requirements. If you're running one of these releases, the extension should install and run as expected. For versions outside this range, or to confirm the latest supported release before installing, check the developer's page, since compatibility details can shift with newer Premiere Pro updates over time.
Letsmotion Storyboard Maker lets you draw directly in Premiere Pro, which the developer notes as a first for the software. You can choose a brush color, add different shapes, and apply photo filters. The same editing carries over to imported photos, so you can draw on them, mask them, crop and scale them, and run filters through the built-in image editor. This keeps sketching and photo edits inside the storyboard itself.
Letsmotion Storyboard Maker includes an apply button that imports your storyboard into Premiere Pro. When you hit it, all the scenes are synced, and each scene retains the details you specified, such as shot type, duration and camera movements. You can then place your final footage into those scenes. Storyboards can also be exported into different formats, which makes them easy to share and re-import later if you need to move work between projects.
Letsmotion Storyboard Maker is listed here as free. Pricing and licensing terms can change, so it's worth confirming the current details on the developer's page before you rely on it. The most recent update recorded here is version 1.1.1, which addressed a signature fix. For anyone evaluating the extension first, a demo video is also available to look over ahead of installing.
