lipsyncr 2 earns its place in the aescripts library for turning a spoken track and transcription into viseme-based mouth animation, with compatibility that stretches from CS5 through After Effects 2026.
lipsyncr 2 is an After Effects plugin that produces viseme-based mouth animations automatically. You import a spoken track along with its transcription, and lipsyncr runs a full-featured English speech analysis, then animates a mouth composition to match that track in seconds.
The plugin offers three viseme mappings at different quality levels: 4 illustrations for low quality, 7 for medium, and 10 for high. It ships with template viseme images that include illustration guides. You can create a template composition at your chosen viseme count and replace those templates with your own images, and combine any number of audio files and mouth compositions in one project.
