Mettle Flux is a plugin for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro that generates 3D volumetric fractal flames. It produces backgrounds, nebulas and sci-fi effects, with output in traditional video as well as 360/VR formats, covering monoscopic and stereoscopic over/under and side-by-side layouts.
Animations start from the FLUX Preset Panel, which applies presets in one click, and further presets are available through the FLUX Effects Control Panel in After Effects. A Globe Preview Panel lets you work on and view results in 360°. From there you can shape the output using Force Field, Mutations, Iterations, Evolutions, Lights and Symmetry controls.
Rendering is GPU-accelerated and volumetric. Flux supports the native After Effects 3D camera and includes a built-in camera for both After Effects and Premiere Pro. It runs in After Effects from CC 2015.3 through the 2026 release and in Premiere Pro from CC through 2023, with native Apple Silicon support and multi-frame rendering added in earlier updates.
