Why we like it

Mettle Mantra stands out in the toolfarm library for pairing 360° and flat stylization FX with AR export to USDZ and glTF, backed by a node-based panel and Mettle's own 3DNA rendering engine.

What is Mettle Mantra?

Mettle Mantra is a set of 360/VR/AR stylization effects for After Effects and Premiere Pro. It transforms flat and 360° footage and images with stylization FX, supporting Flat, 360° monoscopic and stereoscopic over/under and side-by-side formats. It's compatible with the Immersive tools in both applications.

The toolset also covers AR content creation. Mantra ObjX imports 3D formats including alembic, fbx, obj, glTF and USDZ, lets you modify their materials, and exports to USDZ and glTF for AR players like Adobe Aero and Apple Reality Composer. Mantra Spherify converts 360° stills or footage into 3D spheres for use as portals, with a different image for the front and back sides and full RGBA support. Mantra Graphix extrudes 2D graphics into 3D shapes, logos and text.

A node-based panel handles drag-and-drop merging of effects with no scripting, while audioreactive features link FX to audio. Globe Preview shows effects on the outside and interior of a sphere in close to real time. The plugin includes Mettle 3DNA, a proprietary 3D rendering engine for volumetric workflows, with native Apple Silicon support.
