Mix Color Node is an expanded version of the standard Mix Color Node for Blender, developed by mod3d. It raises the number of blend types to 67, spanning basic modes such as MIX, DIVIDE, DARKEN, OVERLAY and DODGE alongside more exotic options like RIPPLE, PIN_LIGHT, POLAR, VIVID_LIGHT, PHOENIX, CONTRAST, FREEZE, HEAT, REFLECT and GLOW.
The add-on adds Weight parameters for inputs A and B, and lets you adjust the Red, Green and Blue channels with 18 Math Actions, including Multiplication, Division, Logarithm, Power and Sine. Switching between effects is handled through the Blend_Type and Math_Action sockets, and a Documentation.txt file placed in the Text Editor lists the sequence numbers and names of the effects.
The script is written in Open Shading Language, so rendering is available only on the Cycles engine. On Blender 3.4 and below, rendering runs on the CPU only; starting with version 3.5, rendering on an Optix-enabled GPU is supported. Note that the effects may differ from those of the standard Blender Mix Node.
