Next Limit RealFlow is a fluid simulation package that pairs with Cinema 4D through free connectivity plugins. The fluid simulation is set up in RealFlow using the Standard License, and once complete it is exported to the 3D platform. Connectivity plugins are also available for 3ds Max and Maya.
GPU acceleration runs simulations 2 to 8 times faster than on CPU, with CUDA and OpenCL both offering around 3x over RealFlow 2015 and CPU calculation roughly 2x. RealFlow Nodes let you send different iterations of a scene, or secondary Hybrido elements, to calculate on your farm. Other features include Bitmap Emitter improvements and Continuous Collision Detection.
Version 10.5 adds a curvature-cohesion model to the surface tension daemon and a new Macro daemon for the fluid effect seen in high-speed macro photography. It also brings a Maxwell 4 denoiser, a Free camera mode alongside Target mode, Alembic Stitcher progress that can be canceled, and customizable level of detail for object primitives.
