Paste Multiple Keyframes 2 earns its place in the aescripts library for a focused job: moving keyframes across several layers in a single action, with loop and color options layered on top. Its long compatibility list, reaching back to CS4, makes it easy to fit into older and current After Effects setups alike.
Paste Multiple Keyframes 2 is a script for After Effects that copies and pastes keyframes from multiple layers at the same time. The workflow is direct: select the keyframes you want to copy, move the time slider to where the first keyframe should sit, then click Paste. The keyframes are placed much faster.
The script includes loop support. A checkbox lets you loop each property based on its own time range, and version 2.0.12 fixed a bug where keyframes would not paste when looping more than twice or when pasted starting at the same time as an existing keyframe. The same release added a checkbox to copy and paste keyframe colors.
Additional options include moving the time slider to the end of the pasted keyframes, automatically selecting the newly pasted keyframes, and skipping interpolation when that option is left unchecked. It runs across After Effects releases from CS4 through the 2026 version, and a demo video is available.
Paste Multiple Keyframes 2 is best for after Effects animators who need to copy and paste keyframes across multiple layers at once.
Paste Multiple Keyframes 2 is completely free to download and use.
Paste Multiple Keyframes 2 works across a wide range of After Effects releases, from CS4 up through the 2026 version. That span also covers CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC, CC 2014, CC 2015, CC 2015.3, CC 2017, CC 2018, CC 2019, and the 2020 through 2025 releases. The current build is version 2.0.12, released December 18, 2023. If your version sits anywhere in that range, the script should run. Check the developer's page for the latest details before installing.
Paste Multiple Keyframes 2 follows a short sequence. First, select all the keyframes you want to copy, which can come from multiple layers at the same time. Next, move your time slider to the point where you want the first keyframe placed. Then click Paste, and the keyframes are placed much faster. There is also an option to automatically move the time slider to the end of the pasted keyframes, and one to select the newly pasted keyframes after they land.
Paste Multiple Keyframes 2 includes loop support. Version 2.0.12 added a checkbox to loop each property based on its own time range, so different properties can repeat according to their individual timing. That same update fixed a bug where keyframes would not paste when looping more than twice, or when they were pasted starting at the same time as an existing keyframe. For the full set of loop options, see the developer's page.
Paste Multiple Keyframes 2 can carry over keyframe colors. Version 2.0.12 introduced a checkbox to copy and paste keyframe colors alongside the keyframes themselves. The script also lets you control interpolation: when the interpolation option is unchecked, the interpolation of keyframes is not pasted. These toggles sit within the script's interface, giving you control over exactly which keyframe attributes transfer when you paste. Check the developer's page for the complete option list.
Paste Multiple Keyframes 2 is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing terms can change over time, so for current pricing and activation details it is best to check the developer's page on aescripts directly. The script does use a licensing framework, which has been updated across several releases, including improved support and better error messaging for online activation. Confirm the latest terms before you download or install.
