Slides & Grids is an After Effects extension by Zohaib Malik built around three tools: one for grid creation and management, one for creating or updating precomps, and one for bulk editing of compositions across projects and templates.
The grid side covers distribution and fitting, item fitting options, offsetting rows or columns alternately, progressive shift for rows and columns, margin adjustment, zooming a specific item to comp, frame sizing, masks to clip items, roundness for frames and features, stroke controls for dashes, gap and offset, item backgrounds, and animation with delays for transform properties or randomised across grid items. The precomp tool groups video, image, shape or text layers with size, margin, fitting, duration, frame rate and pixel aspect ratio options, and can update existing comps using selective properties, adding, replacing, removing or changing visibility in all selected compositions.
Version 1.3.2 runs on After Effects 2026 through 2020. It combines grid building, precomp creation and bulk-comp editing into a single panel.

Slides & Grids can be brought up through the Properties panel toggle button in the toolbar at the top. You can close it by clicking the menu button (three lines) at the top right of the Properties panel, and disable it by selecting it from the Window menu. These options give you a few ways to bring the interface in and out of view while you work in After Effects.
