SpeedX is a time remapping tool for After Effects and Premiere Pro that uses AI technology to handle retiming. Because it leans on AI processing, its performance is highly dependent on your GPU card, and the developer recommends trying it before purchase.
The plugin's Sharp mode was refined with more accurate optical flow and set as the default mode in a 2024 update. Support for Multi-Frame Rendering and Apple M1 Silicon arrived in earlier releases, and later fixes addressed flicker, memory leaks, a macOS load issue and general stability.
SpeedX runs across After Effects and Premiere Pro from the 2020 through 2026 versions. The current build is 2.0.1, last updated on September 22, 2024. A demo video is available, and the developer's page lists the full version history.
