Write-On earns its place in the aescripts library for bundling ten adjustable animated typefaces that take the manual pen tooling and keyframing off write-on lettering. Version 2.1 adds Universal Expressions and Font Manager compatibility, and the set lists support for After Effects CS6.
Write-On Animated Typefaces is a set of 10 animated type styles for After Effects, built by Justified Type. Each of the 10 fonts includes 84 characters, and every character carries three layers of customization. The set saves the tedium of pen tooling and keyframing, while providing a range of customizing options for creating your own look.
Version 2.1, released in July 2020, added Universal Expressions and made the set Font Manager compatible. The plugin lists compatibility with After Effects CS6 and Illustrator CS6, and it has moved through several revisions since its first release in October 2015, with Universal Expressions also arriving in the 1.1 update along the way.
