Zoetrope DFISH removes barrel distortion from pro fisheye lenses and action cam footage, turning curvy, fishbowl-style video into straight, wide-angle results. Its algorithm separates parameters for the inner and outer portions of the lens, accounting for a greater variety of lenses and cameras where distortion isn't linear across the whole image plane.
DFISH is OpenGL accelerated, leveraging native macOS graphics, so corrections render in realtime during playback. A horizon correction parameter handles footage from cameras mounted off axis, and a crop feature removes distortion artifacts at the edge of the frame when working with more extreme fisheye lenses.
The plugin ships with presets for common action cameras and fisheye lenses that you can use as a starting point and then tweak. You can also save your own presets for a particular lens or camera and apply them to all your footage. DFISH runs through FxFactory in Final Cut Pro X, Motion, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve on both Apple Silicon and Intel processors.
