Add Time is an After Effects script that injects time into a project at any level. It moves keyframes, adjusts comp durations, and extends layer endpoints, and it can subtract time as well as add it.
To keep the two operations distinct, Add Time markers are shown in green and Subtract Time markers in red. A toggle lets you ignore locked layers, and there is functionality to ignore guide layers. You can switch between working in frames and in time, and the interface is text-based rather than image-based.
Version 1.1.1 supports After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, and 2022. The current release fixed several bugs around subtracting time, including comps whose inPoints were modified incorrectly and comps removed during the operation that were still being adjusted recursively, and it repaired the ignore guide layer and ignore locked layer functionality that was previously broken. A demo video is available.
