AfterCodecs from Autokroma is an encoding plugin for Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. It lets you export directly from the After Effects render queue without touching the command line or creating huge temporary files, and it also runs inside Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.
The plugin includes all four HAP codecs from Vidvox using faster algorithms and without resolution restrictions. A YouTube Upload profile follows YouTube's upload recommendations and is set with a single parameter. You can choose the efficiency you need, from fast encoding for previews to low file sizes for final delivery, and low-bitrate videos come out at better quality than before. AfterCodecs runs on macOS 11 (Big Sur) through 15 (Sequoia), on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, as well as Microsoft Windows 10 and 11. An earlier update set the minimum macOS to 11 (Big Sur), and on macOS the installer places an Autokroma folder in /Applications containing an AfterCodecs Uninstaller and links to the Settings and License popup. If you are on an older operating system, check the developer's page for a version that matches your setup.
AfterCodecs uses one license for the same user on up to two computers, as long as they are not used at the same time. Licensing is handled through the Settings and License popup, which on macOS can be reached from the Autokroma folder the installer creates inside /Applications; that popup also displays BRAW Studio V3 licenses.
