BRAW Studio earns its place in the aescripts library for putting DaVinci Resolve's RAW color parameters directly inside Adobe's editing and encoding apps, backed by the official BMD Color Science and BRAW SDK. The addition of a standalone Desktop Player and a sidecar workflow that carries settings between DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and After Effects makes it a practical hub for .braw footage.
BRAW Studio is Autokroma's native Blackmagic RAW (.braw) importer for After Effects, Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, with advanced Premiere Pro features in its BRAW Studio Panel and customizable RAW settings through a Layer Settings filter in After Effects. It exposes the same RAW color parameters as DaVinci Resolve, using the official BMD Color Science and BMD BRAW SDK.
Settings saved to a sidecar are applied automatically inside any NLE, including DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder. The panel carries the White Balance Color Picker, Custom A/B, presets and Custom LUT, plus a Trim Tool that removes unused frames while keeping the BRAW codec at the same quality, and quick access to .braw metadata. Twenty Global Presets store RAW parameters across projects and apps.
A new Desktop Player App lets you open, play and color grade .braw files directly from Finder or Explorer. BRAW Studio comes in FREE and Premium versions, and the free version allows unlimited import of Blackmagic RAW files without a license. Note that it does not import .dng files.

BRAW Studio supports Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder from 13.0 (CC 2019) through 26 (2026), and After Effects from 16.1 (CC 2019) through 26 (2026). It also lists compatibility with Audition from CC 2019 to 2025. On macOS it runs on Apple Silicon and Intel from version 12 (Monterey) to 26 (Tahoe), and on Windows 10 and 11. BRAW Studio does not import .dng files. It is built specifically as a native Blackmagic RAW (.braw) importer for After Effects, Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, exposing the same RAW color parameters found in DaVinci Resolve through the official BMD Color Science and BMD BRAW SDK. If your footage is in .braw, BRAW Studio handles import and RAW settings across those Adobe apps; for .dng material you'll need a different solution.
BRAW Studio runs on macOS with both Apple Silicon (M1 and similar) and Intel processors, covering versions 12 (Monterey) through 26 (Tahoe). On Windows it supports Windows 10 and 11. The CPU needs at least the SSE4.1 instruction set, which most processors made after 2009 support. Beyond the operating system, it works inside Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder and After Effects, and includes a standalone Desktop Player App for playing and grading .braw files.
BRAW Studio is listed as free here, and it comes in FREE and Premium versions. The free version allows unlimited import of Blackmagic RAW files without any license. A single license covers the same user on up to two computers, as long as they are not used at the same time. BRAW Studio notes that the Premiere Pro Project Manager can't be used properly with .braw files, an Adobe limitation you'd also hit with Blackmagic's own Premiere Pro plugin. As an alternative, Autokroma points to PlumePack for managing those projects. The developer also advises against saving or applying presets on the Source Settings and covers alternative methods in a dedicated article, so it's worth reviewing that guidance before setting up a project.
