Captione Engine Lite is a CEP extension panel for Adobe After Effects that turns SRT, WebVTT (VTT), and TTML caption files into an editable subtitle setup. Rather than spreading captions across hundreds of separate text layers, it generates a reusable subtitle rig driven by a single text layer and layer markers, so you can edit, style, and re-import from one place.
Styling lives in that one panel: safe margins, position offsets, box, padding, corner radius, and opacity. Timing is frame-accurate, with options to snap to frames, enforce minimum durations, and auto-trim overlapping cues.
