LAZPoint brings LIDAR point clouds into Cinema 4D, reading LAS, LAZ, XYZ and PTS files directly and rendering them without extra steps. It can hold hundreds of millions of points in the editor in realtime, even on moderate hardware.
Beyond importing data, its VLS virtual laser scanner scans any C4D scene as if you had a real laser scanner, and it can create point clouds from your scenes by capturing renders to give them the LIDAR look. It also works with color point clouds exported from programs such as Agisoft Photoscan or RealityCapture, and can export back out to LAS and LAZ.
LAZRender handles both new 3D points and classic 2D points, with realtime options to resize, recolor, quantize and clip. Various output modes, including X-Particles, hair, points with RGB vertex maps and splines, let you work with alternative renderers. The plugin runs on Windows with Cinema 4D R18, R19 and R20.
