CornerPinner earns its place in the aescripts library as a focused corner pin utility, covering everything from adding and converting pins to matting, rounding, rotating and inverting them across a long list of supported effects.
CornerPinner is a script for After Effects built around corner pins. It adds simple corner pins, converts any corner pin effect to another type, creates simple mattes from corner pins, and rounds the edges of both corner pins and corner pin mattes. It can also rotate corner values and invert corner pins.
The conversion works across a range of effects, including Corner Pin, RG Corner Pin, CC Power Pin, BCC Corner Pin, GenArts S_WarpCornerPin, Bezier Warp, Card Dance, Card Wipe, RE:Map Planar, 4-Color Gradient and FxFactory Pro Free Distort. Inverting a corner pin can be used, for example, to stabilize a mocha corner pin in a precomp.
Version 1.2, updated October 2025, added the invert and precomp options and extended compatibility through After Effects 2026. It also runs on releases back to CS6. A demo video is available.
CornerPinner is best for after Effects artists who regularly work with corner pins and need to add, convert, matte, round, rotate or invert them across different effect types.

CornerPinner lists compatibility with After Effects across many releases: 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020, plus CC 2019, CC 2018, CC 2017, CC 2015.3, CC 2015, CC 2014, CC and CS6. Version 1.2 specifically extended compatibility through After Effects 2026. That range covers both the year-numbered releases and the earlier CC and CS6 versions, so the script fits current installations as well as older projects you may still open.
CornerPinner can convert any supported corner pin effect to any other in its list, which covers Corner Pin, RG Corner Pin, CC Power Pin, BCC Corner Pin, GenArts S_WarpCornerPin, Bezier Warp, Card Dance, Card Wipe, RE:Map Planar, 4-Color Gradient and FxFactory Pro Free Distort. Beyond conversion, it can add simple corner pins, create simple mattes from corner pins, round the edges of pins and the edges and corners of mattes, rotate corner values, and invert corner pins.
CornerPinner version 1.2, released on October 27, 2025, added the invert and precomp options and ensured compatibility through After Effects 2026. The invert feature can be used, for example, to stabilize a mocha corner pin in a precomp. This builds on earlier updates: version 1.1 in September 2015 clarified the missing effects dialog and ensured compatibility with AE CC 2015, following the initial 1.0 release in May 2012.
