Dehancer Film Emulation is a film emulation plugin from Dehancer, created by enthusiasts and scientists and built on 30 years of analogue experience. It brings analog aesthetics to After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro, alongside a wider list of supported hosts including Final Cut Pro, Baselight, Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One Pro and Affinity.
The library covers 60+ photographic and movie films plus 130+ camera log profiles, spanning stocks such as Kodak Vision 3, Kodak Portra 400, Cinestill 800, Ilford HP5 Plus, Kodak Eastman 5222 and Kodachrome 64, along with instant and vintage processes like Fujifilm Instax, Polaroid, Prokudin-Gorskiy, Ambrotype and ORWO. Each film is captured in three exposures, and the Push/Pull feature gives variations in between.
Beyond emulation, Dehancer adds realistic film effects: Film Grain, Halation, Bloom, Film Breath and Damage, and Overscan. Grain profiles cover 8, 16, 35 and 65mm film with custom settings, and halation offers eight profiles with custom adjustments. Print films and DI photo papers round out the analog toolset.

Dehancer Film Emulation requires an Apple Macintosh from around mid-2012 or later with a Metal-enabled GPU. It is optimised for Apple Silicon, and the appropriate distributive is installed automatically during setup. On Intel Macs, external and multi-GPU configurations are supported as well.
